Most Useful Tools To Manage Multiple Social Networking Sites
If you are knowledgeable about social media, likelihood is that you have more than one social networking account. Many individuals have both a Facebook and a twitter account, and those that use social media professionally, sometimes have multiple Facebook pages, twitter accounts, and Facebook accounts (not to mention other accounts like 4Square, and so on.). Here are my top 3 picks for managing multiple social media accounts.
HootSuite
HootSuite might be my favorite app for managing social media accounts. Not only can you add as many accounts as you want with PRO (up to 5 with the free version), but you can schedule tweets for later and create RSS feeds. HootSuite tracks clicks and demographics of the people that are clicking thru your tweets.
In my opinion, when you learn the skill of HootSuite you will not wish to return to anything else. You actually have the option of old style RTing (RT @username) and new RTing where it just reposts the tweet on your page. It also calculates your klout (online influence).
TweetDeck
TweetDeck is 2nd to HootSuite. It has got a great search feature and Twitscoop, which reports on hot twitter trends in a cloud format (something that HootSuite hasn’t got). You can manage your contacts in groups. This makes it simple for folks following over 300 folks.
This column view is very much appreciated as it is simply organised and makes it simple to see different feeds you can categorize. Like HootSuite, you can specify the columns by keyword, sent tweets, your tweets retweeted, etc. There are numerous options – but TweetDeck is just for twitter.
LinksAlpha
LinksAlpha isn’t the same as HootSuite and TweetDeck. LinksAlpha is great for people looking to control RSS feeds and share links on their social media accounts. LinksAlpha has lots of social media sites to choose between. You may also assign RSS feeds to multiple accounts to make public – everything is easily focused.
The complaint is surely that you cannot see the Twitter feeds – this is really only good for sending tweets rather than monitoring and viewing the networks themselves.
